What: On September 15, 2025, the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) published a notice seeking public comments identifying significant foreign trade barriers affecting U.S. exports, investments, and electronic commerce for inclusion in the 2026 National Trade Estimate Report.
Why: This is your chance to report foreign government policies that unfairly block or restrict your small business from competing abroad, including: unfair tariffs, discriminatory regulations, customs delays, or licensing barriers. Your input helps the federal government identify and address these barriers in future trade negotiations and enforcement actions with foreign countries. Small businesses are encouraged to self-identify in their submission.
Action: Submit comments to USTR on or before October 30, 2025, at Regulations.gov.
